Unfortunately, in May 2019, the dam on Lake Dunlap failed, causing a dramatic drop in the water level and leaving the lake temporarily inaccessible for water activities. Despite this setback, efforts are underway to repair the dam and restore the lake to its former glory, and locals remain hopeful that Lake Dunlap will once again be a thriving hub of outdoor recreation in the future.
